About Nottinghamshire Best Bar None
Best Bar None is a national awards and accreditation scheme for licensed premises, which was first developed in Manchester in 2003. It involves partnership working between the licensed trade, police, council and often other partners too.
The scheme recognises and rewards responsible pub, bar and club operators and supports them in raising their standards of operation. It also promotes an area as safe. It is supported by government through the Home Office.
Nottinghamshire launched the very first county-wide Best Bar None scheme in 2015.
The scheme has been funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Nottinghamshire and Nottinghamshire County Council.
